A trip of the Dijon academy to the heart of the EU
The Europe-International department of the GIP organized another training session in Brussels.
This meeting, which has become regular in recent years, was devoted to understanding European Education-Training policy and discovering the European institutions.
The group, that time composed of 13 participants, consisted of teachers, management and school life staff from several academy's schools and high schools.
Numerous activities and meetings were on the programme of this European immersion week. The participants received several training sessions on the functioning of the EU institutions, the implementation of the Education-Training policy and the Erasmus+ programme, with a particular focus on the setting up of projects and their evaluation.
The group was received at the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Europe Office and by two MEPs and members of the Committee on Culture and Education, Mrs Laurence Farreng and Mrs Salima Yenbou, who discussed their work in the Parliament and the Erasmus+ programme.
The new Erasmus programming period 2021-2027 was presented by a representative of the European Commission. A manager for the ESF and cohesion policies came to explain how the European Social Fund supports education and training policy in the countries of the Union.
During this already very rich week, the group had also the opportunity to participate in two workshops of the Lifelong Learning Week event (LLLWeek).
Finally, visits to the Parlamentarium and the House of European History rounded off the programme by illustrating the evolution of European integration.
The participants are unanimous: "This week spent in Brussels gave us an opportunity to collect a lot of information about the implementation of European projects; it has strengthened our motivation to undertake mobility actions in our school and thus support the success of our pupils and students."
