Soft skills training workshops on October 21 and November 30, 2021

Theme: Social skills training (called "soft skills"): how to support young people in training?

Objectives: Train / make teachers aware of these skills which fall within the scope of the "implicit evaluation" of work-study students and students in general.
This action is intended for teachers in vocational high schools and in particular those working in UFA apprenticeship courses.

Organization: Two workshops, i.e. 2 full days (teachers must commit to participating fully in the 2 days) supervised by 3 trainers: in this case, 2 teachers specializing in social skills who will work in subgroups and rotating workshops + 1 specialized video trainer / who will support the recording of workshops and carry out the "analysis / reinvestment and testimonials" part.

Audience: UFA teachers and vocational high schools. If necessary, the action may be open to other teachers (if places are available).

Date: to be confirmed // Workshop 1: October 21, 2021 and workshop 2: November 30, 2021

Content: Two workshops, one day each, will be devoted to raising awareness of these "soft skills", identifying the areas they cover and implementing the skills identified through various exercises and scenarios. The choice of media will take into account the final audience, which is vocational high school students and work-study students in particular.
Number of participants: 14 people (max.)

Location: Stephen Liégeard high school - BROCHON
Registration: Registration must be communicated directly to the CFA ENB (for the DAFOP) which will validate the list of participants with the DAFOP which publishes the mission orders.
Support: This training is part of the Academic Training Plan, overseen by DAFOP. Participants' travel expenses will be reimbursed by DAFOP after returning the attendance lists.

The CFA ENB is involved in an Erasmus + “NEAR in Europe” project to promote the European mobility of apprentices and the development of their social skills known as “soft skills”.
What is it about ?
Apprenticeship requires on the part of the young person on a work-study basis the acquisition of a double skill: acquiring the basic knowledge and the professional know – how essential to exercise the profession for which he is intended (“hard skills”), but also be able to develop the social, behavioral or relational skills ("soft skills") essential in business.
The share of soft skills in the recruitment process (internship, apprenticeship contract, etc.) continues to grow. It is not always obvious to identify what these skills are and how to enhance them.
But how can the teacher or trainer support the young person in training, so that they develop qualities such as self-confidence, team spirit, interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt ...
