Context and objectives

In 2007, a regional committee was created in Burgundy. The objectives of this committee were to encourage coordination between certifiers, to develop information on Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience, to harmonize practices and above all to promote the collective use of the validation process in companies.

Between 2007 and 2014, the committee initiated some actions to promote the development of the collective Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience in companies. Companies were not very receptive to this development, however several initiatives were carried out thanks to the committee.

In 2015-2016, a European project supported by the ESF made it possible to achieve the various objectives. Indeed, in France between 2014 and 2020, the ESF mobilized around 4 major thematic objectives, including that of lifelong education and training. The various missions linked to the committee could not have been achieved without this funding.

The laws on vocational training (2014 and 2016) reinforced the interest of the collective Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience for companies, reaffirmed the right to qualification for all and increased the training responsibility of companies towards each employee. The Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience is a tool for managing "skills capital" and can be a response to qualification and certification needs. In this sense, it is perfectly in line with the spirit of the law.

It is essential to inform companies, to encourage them to offer such an approach to their employees and to anchor the Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience in the local economic world in the long term.

The role of the Committee

The role of the committee is to inform, present, design, deploy, evaluate and support collective projects and to pilot them from A to Z. This meets the expectations of human resources departments and company managers by offering them a turnkey project, adapted to the situation of their company.

The collective Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience also enables companies to meet their legal obligations in terms of professional interviews.

The missions of the Committee

   -  To foster, deploy and support collective Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience projects in companies
   -  To offer a turnkey service
   -  To increase information to companies
   -  To offer the collective Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience to build employee loyalty
   -  To use the Validation of Acquired Knowledge and Experience and/or blended learning to overcome recruitment difficulties
   -  To raise awareness of the validation process
   -  To set up partnerships
   -  To communicate (advertising, fairs, collective information, etc.) and develop the presence of the committee on social networks (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), manage the website
   -  To capitalize on and promote the implemented collective projects
   -  To mention the financial support of the European Union in all the committee’s communication media (brochures, social networks, business card, website) and in collective information
